Honoring Sexual Assault Awareness Month

ree

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)—a time to uplift survivors, raise awareness, and create space for healing. Within all my work at Survivor Rising, I always begin by believing survivors. Every survivor’s story is deeply personal and complex, and healing must honor that complexity. It’s not just about recovering wounds from the past—it’s about reclaiming your future.

Through trauma-informed coaching, inclusive community spaces, and holistic wellness practices, we walk alongside survivors on a path toward rediscovery, resilience, and empowerment.

Healing Through Trauma-Informed Coaching

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Survivors often navigate feelings of shame, disconnection, and uncertainty. That’s why my trauma-informed coaching program is tailored to meet you where you are.

Unlike therapy, coaching focuses on the present moment and the future you’re building. It’s about setting goals, cultivating self-trust, and stepping into your personal power. Whether used on its own or as a complement to therapy and support groups, coaching can be a transformative resource for lasting growth and change.

The Strength of Connection: Survivor to Thriver Support Group

Healing in community can be one of the most powerful experiences for survivors. I lead a Survivor to Thriver support group where I try to cultivate a compassionate, confidential space where individuals can gather to share, learn, and heal together.

We explore meaningful themes such as safety, trust, choice, empowerment, joy, and purpose—always centering your voice and autonomy. Group agreements are co-created by members to ensure a supportive and respectful environment for all. Whether you’re taking your first step or looking to deepen your healing, you are welcome here—and you are not alone.

Reconnecting with the Body: Wellness as a Healing Practice

Trauma lives in the body, which is why somatic and holistic approaches are essential. Practices like yoga, mindfulness, and breathwork offer gentle, grounding ways to reconnect with yourself.

To support your healing, I am partnering with Northeast Ohio's Stella Luna Counseling and Wellness Center to offer a special SAAM15 discount on in-person yoga classes throughout April. Movement can be a powerful path back to presence, peace, and self-compassion.

You Don’t Have to Heal Alone

Healing from sexual trauma is possible—and you don’t have to do it by yourself. I invite you to explore the Survivor to Thriver Support Group and my one-on-one coaching options.

Visit Survivor Rising to schedule a complimentary 1-on-1 session (no strings attached). If you are interested in the support group, please complete the linked form https://forms.gle/ZAvBoaSfG9EoapE19 to apply for our weekly in-person group sessions.

This April and beyond, let’s stand in solidarity with survivors—believing survivors, fostering community, and honoring the sacred journey of healing.
