Is there a song that when you hear it, it brings you back to an exact time or place?

Is there a word that holds a lot of power and strength to you?

Is there an artist that creates art that inspires you to pull out of darkness?

There is a lot of power in language and where there is power, there can be strength.

My word is RISE. Why, you may ask?

The word rise has meant so much to me since the beginning of COVID, March 2020.

COVID hit, Cleveland, Ohio weather wasn't very friendly, and then the gyms closed. That October, my Dad was diagnosed with cancer...but I kept running. Then, on December 6th, 2020, I ran the Rise run (virtually) and finished on the beach with my Dad and dog standing at the finish line while listening to Andra Day's song "Rise Up".

I always knew Maya Angelou to be an admirable civil rights activist and hero to many, but around this time I realized she is a hero to me as well and her poem "Still I Rise" touched my heart. 7 months later, I got the word tattooed on my wrist to remind me that even when I'm physically or mentally on the ground, without energy or fight left in me, that I will always rise.

Now...please don't run and get a tattoo of a word just because of my own example BUT I challenge you to think of a word that gives you energy. A word that in the dark moments, can stop you in your tracks and bring you back to the light.

I'd love to hear some examples in the comments!
